| The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, preventing soil pollution, protecting soil resource and soil environment, safeguarding human health and sound eco system and ensuring environmental safety of soil for exhibition sites. According to different land use types, the standard provides projects, limits, monitoring methods and supervision for soil quality assessment. Altogether 92 pollutants are covered including 14 inorganic pollutants, 24 volatile organic pollutants, 47 semi-volatile organic pollutants and 7 other pollutants. It applies to soil quality assessment for exhibition sites. This is a tentative standard and related regulations shall prevail once national standard for the protection of soil environment enter into force. |
