| This Standard specifies the target, method and process management and principle for the selection of site of near ground disposal facilities for low and medium level radioactive waste as well as the data and information necessary for site selection. The current Standard is applicable to the selection of near-ground disposal facilities for low and intermediate level radioactive waste. However, it is not applicable to the siting of uranium tailings pond and the siting of landfill facilities that dispose the free-of-management waste. |
