Emission Standards and Measurement Methods of Railway noise on the Boundary Alongside Risky Line
(GB 12525-90 putting into effect as of March 1, 1991)
Abstract:
The standard stipulates the limit and measurement method of boundary railway noise in urban areas. The noise limit in the day-time and at night is both 70 leg (A)dB. The measurement method is to use type II or above-level integrating sound level meter or other measurement equipment of the similar precision under the weather condition of no snow, no rain and less than Grade IV wind. The time of the measurement should be one hour with the road vehicle traffic density close to the average level both in the day-time and at night. The microphone should be placed at the location 1.2 m above the road surface and no less than 1m away from the reflector. The grade of "Quick" should be chosen for the measurement with the sampling interval of 1 second. The standard is supplemented by the measurement recording table.
