Emission Standard for Environment Noise for Boundary of Construction SiteGB 125232011

The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing the Law of Peoples Republic of China on Environmental Protection and the Law of Peoples Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Noise Pollution, preventing and controlling noise pollution from construction sites and improving the quality of sound environment.

This was the first revision of Noise Limits for Construction Site (GB12523-90) and Measurement Method for Noise from Construction Site (GB12524-90).

The standard was first issued in 1990 and this was the first revision of the standard.

The standard specifies the emission limits and measurement method of environment noise for boundary of construction site.

The standard applies to management, assessment and control of noise from construction sites surrounded by noise sensitive buildings. Noise emission from municipal construction, communications, transport, water conservancy and other types of construction sites is also pursuant to the standard.

The standard does not apply to supervision of noise emission from repair and rescue operations.

Noise Limits for Construction Site (GB12523-90) and Measurement Method for Noise from Construction Site (GB12524-90) will be annulled upon the date when the standard takes effect.

The following standards will be abolished upon the day the standard takes effect.
